Movingui/ Ayan (Distemonanthus benthamianus) - The pale yellow sapwood is narrow and not clearly defined, the heartwood is pale to bright yellow to yellow-brown.   The texture is fine although the grain is ofter interlocked, sometimes wavy and the wood has a very lustrous surface, moderately hard, heavy timber.   Machines well although sometimes hard on the blades but finishes excellently.
